About me & Evolution.
Hi, my name is Mel!
I am 30 years old, a pre-med biology major, and I aspire to be a D.O.
Currently I work at OSU Medical Center as an ER tech.
I'm a home-body, so when I'm not doing school related activities I enjoy playing video games with my husband, binging a Netflix show for the 20th time, or playing with my 4 amazing dogs.
Something from this week's opening materials that I did not know was just how short the human existence has been compared to how long the Earth has been around. I think as humans we tend to forget that there is anything other than ourselves, so it is quite humbling to see all the important events that had to happen in order for us to even survive and how long those events took to occur.

I agree, it is really humbling and it is also incredible to know the earth existed for so very very long before us!
ReplyDeleteHi Mel,
ReplyDeleteI also did not know just how little time humans have occupied our planet, and truly blew me away! I new that there was a time where we did not exist but I never knew just how long that time was, and it makes me sad to think with the short amount of time that we have existed we have also ruined our planet in so many ways.
It is incredible to know that humans have such a microscopic amount of time on Earth. So many important events have happened in the time humans have been alive and yet the Earth is so old.
